I’m 22 and was prescribed Percocet 7.5/500 after my surgery for a deviated septum 3 days ago. The thing is, (sorry if you find this offensive lol), I haven’t pooped ever since I started taking it 3 days ago. I know this is a common side effect of the medication, but is this something to be worried about? I learned in school that if you are constipated for more than 3 days, it can be serious and may turn into a bowel obstruction. The strange thing is though, I don’t even have the urge to go! And I always go once or twice every single day. So my question is, should I be worried? And is there anything I can do to get rid of the constipation? The prescription information says not to take laxatives with the medication, unless otherwise directed by a doctor. Thanks in advance for any help!
